So just had the worst experience AGAIN at Honda AutoFair in Manchester NH. I have a 2019 Honda Civic Type R that I purchased in November 2019. Tuesday when I got out of work I got into my car and put the AC on and it was blowing out nothing but hot air. I called up Honda AutoFair and explained the issue. I had already been there 2 years ago for a recall on the AC system. I went even though there wasn’t an issue with it and they said they replace the AC condenser and other related parts. They said there was a 10 year warranty on the AC because of the recall and it’s a known issue. Fast forward back to two days ago when I called Honda AutoFair. They looked up my VIN and said it was indeed covered by warranty and to bring it in. So I scheduled an appointment for 7:40am the next day. They called me at around 11am and said it was ready to be picked up. I responded great and asked what part was leaking the AC condenser or the compressor and the service advisor responded both and said it was also recharged with Freon. When I got out of work at 1:30pm, I went to Honda Autofair to pick up my car. After getting the keys from the service department, I went outside into my car and turned it on and then turned on the AC and there was nothing but hot air blowing out. I thought to myself it will just take like 20 or 30 seconds. It just needs to kick on and then it’ll start blowing cold air, well 30 seconds went by and that didn’t happen. Maybe I need to drive down the road a little bit and warm up the engine and then it’ll come on for sure and so I started to leave Honda AutoFair and drove down the road a little bit, noticed my engine was warming up and still no cold air. I was so upset after my car been sitting there since 7:40 in the morning. I pulled the U-turn right in the middle of the road and went right back. I got out of my car and I walked towards the service department door and the advisor met me at the door before I even could make it inside. I told him the car is still blowing hot air out of it and he asked for the keys and to check it out himself. After sitting in my car for several minutes and playing with all the controls, he couldn’t get it to blow cold air and said he didn’t understand why it wasn’t and I didn’t either but I told him this was the perfect example of why I no longer come here. He then said let me go grab the service technician worked on it , the service technician that worked on it came outside and tried the same things with the controls and could not get it to blow cold air either. They popped the hood and he said the compressor was running and didn’t understand why it wasn’t blowing cold air. They asked if they wanted me to pull the car in and then would take another hour for them at minimum to look at it and I was unable to do so because I had an appointment at another dealership to get my car inspected As I no longer have been going there since the last Horrible experience I had. So I said, I would have to drop it off again the next day for the day. So this morning, I got another ride from a coworker and dropped off my car At 7:40 again. I told them that I wouldn’t even be back till 330 today to pick it up. When I got out of work at 3:30 and started walking toward Honda Autofair I got a call From a service advisor and they were telling me that the compressor needed to be replaced in the car and that wasn’t covered under warranty and it would cost $2800?!?! So having the last horrible interaction I had last time the owners which I hope will take notice to this had responded for me to contact her service Director John St. H To resolve the issues. So I told the advisor I would speak to John when I got there as you can probably imagine I was a little upset at this point. I was lied to by several employees again which is why I stopped going there. First by the guy I spoke with the said it’s cover under warranty. Then by them telling me the parts were replaced two years ago but never were and just inspected. Third by telling me my car was all set and it obviously wasn’t. Completely untrustworthy. How could my compressor stop working when the day before you give me a working order stating “All issues were corrected”
